Your Pain Is Not A Consequence Of Your Situation

There is a common principle of cause and effect in many branches of
science/studies.  There is a blind belief (unconsciousness) in cause and effect principle
in human behavior and interactions.  Whenever we are creating negative emotions
(pain), we are attributing reason or justification to it. e.g., when one gets angry and
shouts at a child when a glass tumbler is broken we believe that we got angry (effect)
because of the glass breaking incident (cause) by the child.

On almost all occasions of our behavior with negative emotions, the same rule is
followed and pain is justified. Pain (effect) is because of that (cause); so our thought and
behavior pattern of creating pain is fully justified.  So, no regret no change. It has been
going since long making life mostly painful. Is it not?
It is nothing but an unconscious pattern of ego mind.  We need to introspect more
closely with an open mind.  If this is true and a universal rule, it should be applicable to
all equally.  Now, suppose the same incident of breaking a glass tumbler by a child
happens with five parents, whether all five parents will emotionally react and shout with
equal intensity?  This question needs to be answered after serious introspection with

sincerity.  If the above rule is true, all should shout in equal intensity and create negative
emotion (pain) equally.  We know that different people will react differently.  Some
parents may with love and care tell the child to be cautious in future. Some may
assertively tell not to repeat. So the rule which we believed so far is false.  It is
unconsciousness to think that one is emotionally reacting (creating pain) because of a
particular incident or situation.  The fact is that we are behaving as per our nature, our
belief, our learned behavior or programmed mind!!!! Though all may not agree
immediately and fully, it is a fact and this revelation or awareness will go a long way in
effecting changes in our thought pattern, behavioral pattern, reducing pain and
enhancing happiness in life and in the process of transformation and spiritual
development. Frequent close observation of our thought, feeling and behavior pattern
with this awareness will help a lot.

WE ARE REACTING AS PER OUR NATURE. OUR EMOTIONAL REACTION-PAIN-IS
NOT BECAUSE OF UNFAVORABLE SITUATION BUT BECAUSE OF OUR
CONDITIONING AND NATURE WHICH CAN BE CHANGED BY HIGHER LEVEL OF
AWARENESS AND CONSCIOUSNESS.
